Professor- Physician Associate Department​

I am a tenure-track professor in the Physician Associate Department at Southwestern College in Winfield, KS. As a founding faculty member, I am responsible for the creation of the curriculum, assessment metrics, and outcome measures.
I joined the Baldwin Wallace Community in February 2012 and achieved tenure status in 2019 with a promotion to full professor. I was the founding program director of the PA program until August 2022 when I became the Associate Dean of Health Sciences. I continue to have teaching responsibilities which include the following courses:
Evidence-Based Medicine, Leadership in Healthcare, Public Health and Policy Systems, and Master's Seminar. I have also have ongoing involvement with university strategic planning initiatives including the recent development of a new health sciences building.

Physician Assistant NeuroDevelopmental Science Center Akron Children's Hospital
I have experience as a physician assistant for the past 20 years in various medical and surgical disciplines. I have spent the last 10 years in pediatric epilepsy, neurosurgery, and inpatient rehabilitation.
Food, Drug, and Healthcare Law Researcher
I am interested in the integration of digital health technology to enhance outcomes in vulnerable populations. I am also interested in pharmaceutical regulation and how these processes can be better adapted for the rapidly changing market dynamics in the U.S. and abroad
Faculty Associate Scholar
In 2025, I was selected to be a faculty Associate Scholar within the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
